Orange County Public Schools provides ESE and Section 504 services to support students with disabilities and ensure access to a free and appropriate public education. These services help students receive the accommodations, supports, and specialized instruction they need to be successful in school.

School social workers are trained experts who meet state standards to support students. They look at the "big picture" of a child's life, assessing how their family, school, and community environments impact their ability to learn. By serving as the primary link between home and school, they provide vital counseling and resources to help students adjust socially and emotionally. Whether working directly with a child or collaborating with teachers and families, school social workers are key members of the school team dedicated to helping every student thrive.

ESOL is Florida's program for students whose primary language is not English. The program helps students develop English proficiency while participating in grade-level instruction and school activities.

Students may qualify for ESOL services based on information provided in the Home Language Survey during enrollment and an English language proficiency screening.

The ESOL Compliance Specialist helps ensure students receive appropriate language support and assists teachers in meeting the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs).
