26-27 Request Early Release
Full-time students at Hamlin Middle School are required to take ALL four Core Classes on campus and three
elective classes. Core classes consist of the following:
- Mathematics: 3 credits
- English Language Arts: 3 credits
- Science: 3 credits
- Social Studies: 3 credits including the study of state and federal government and Civics.
**Exceptions and/or exemptions from taking a CORE class and/or elective class on the school campus will be
based
- Enrolled in a high school level core class that is NOT offered at Hamlin Middle School and is following
the core course progression. Course enrollment documentation will be required.
Participates in a competitive sport that interferes with the school day (9:30am - 4:04pm). Documents
will be required.
Reminders:
1. Approval of early release may require a schedule adjustment.
2. During assessment days, a schedule adjustment may occur.
3. If the sport season ends at the end of semester 1, you can add an elective back in for
semester 2 but not required.
4. Hamlin MS is not responsible for supervising the student after the designated period.
